Senior Oracle Database Administrator / DBA St Albans / WFH to £130k+

Do you have expertise with Oracle databases? You could be progressing your career in a senior hands-on role at a technology driven trading company that invests in sports betting markets, where you can make a real impact.

As a Senior Oracle Database Administrator / DBA you'll collaborate with one other, taking ownership and leading initiatives for database functionality. You'll create short and long term plans, managing projects to ensure continual improvement as well as carrying out day-to-day DBA activities. Responsibilities will encompass Performance Tuning to ensure the performance and availability of the database, carrying out database patches, evaluating upgrades to the latest versions of Oracle, performing security and compliance testing, database hardening and assisting with audits.

WFH Policy:

You'll join colleagues in St. Albans, Hertfordshire (parking available), with the flexibility to work from home three days a week; there will also be occasional out of hours requirements.

About you:

• You are an experienced Oracle Database Administrator / DBA with an indepth understanding of database setup and expertise in performance optimisation on both traditional and AWS hardware configurations
• You are able to work with autonomy, taking ownership and developing and executing plans
• You have expertise with SQL, PL/SQL
• You have experience with Data Guard and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for high availability monitoring
• You have experience with Data Replication across different environments
• You have a good knowledge of Linux, with troubleshooting and bash scripting skills
• You're collaborative and pragmatic with excellent communication skills
