Software Engineering Manager (Ruby) Krakow / WFH

Are you a Software Engineering Manager looking for an opportunity to progress your career? You could be joining a global FinTech.

As an Engineering Manager you will head up a small, growing team of Ruby Software Engineers (in the US and Poland) that focus on backend development of complex, web based trading applications. You'll remain hands-on with coding, tackling some of the most challenging work, taking ownership and providing technical direction to the team as well as mentoring, helping to grow the team around you. You will make technical decisions, contribute to product improvements and collaborate across teams / with stakeholders.

Work from Home Policy:

You can work from home most of the time but will be required to meet up with the team fairly regularly (around five times a month) in the Krakow offices that offer a wide range of facilities and all the latest kit.

Requirements:

  • You have strong backend software engineering experience; this can be with Ruby or other OO programming language e.g. Java, C#, C++ you will need to be happy to use Ruby going forward
  • You have experience of leading others, mentoring, running projects and making technical decisions
  • You have a strong knowledge of software development best practices and Agile methodologies
  • You have a strong foundation in Computer Science including OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns
  • You have fluent English language skills
