Systems Engineer (Linux or Windows) Malta to €42,000

Do you have a strong knowledge of Linux or Windows Operating Systems combined with advanced problem solving and stakeholder management skills?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at one of Malta's leading banks.

As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational support across systems, server, storage, cloud and backup infrastructures as well as managing vendors, leading projects and providing mentoring to Systems Administrators. This is a senior, hands-on position where you'll take an active role in planning and strategy as well as execution; you'll act as a 3rd line escalation point and lead the analysis and interpretation of logs during investigations related to performance, security and privacy issues.

Location / WFH:

You'll join a small, friendly team in Malta (Birkirkara) with flexibility to work from home two days a week.

About you:

• You are an experienced Systems Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer
• You have a strong knowledge of Linux and / or Windows Operating Systems
• You have experience with Virtualisation, they use Hyper-V but VMWare is also fine
• You have a good knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, AWS or Azure and are familiar with Containerisation, ideally with Kubernetes
