Cyber Security Analyst (Graduate Junior Computer Science Cyber Information Network Security). As a Cyber Security Analyst within the Incident Response Team you will respond and investigate alerts, liaise with customers to detail investigation outcomes and recommend remediation actions, manage threat intelligence and actor profiling, assist in the generation of new signatures / rules and assist with the definition of analysis procedures and protocols. You'll utilise and expand your knowledge of network protocols, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) toolsets and the current cyber security landscape, becoming a Subject Matter Expert.
*Degree educated, 2.1 or above in a relevant discipline, likely to have studied MSc or PhD (e.g. Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security)
*Knowledge and understanding of common network protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, SMTP, ICMP) and how they can be abused by threat actors
*Awareness of the current cyber security threat landscape.
*Familiar with common security technologies (such as Firewalls, proxies, DLP, VPN) and their relative merits and limitations.
*Collaborative, keen to learn and share ideas
