Junior Software Development Manager (Java AWS microservices). You could be joining a market leading technology company whose core product, a cloud based highly complex network discovery and infrastructure management tool used by large scale organisations to efficiently manage their IT set-up.
As a Junior Software Development Manager you will head up a team of ten backend Java Developers with varying levels of experience; you'll organise the team and provide both technical and team leadership including mentoring and developing career plans as well as growing the team. You will collaborate with Product, Analytics, UI, release and other cross functional leaders to align the company's technology capabilities with product and business needs and support company wide technology decisions as part of the engineering leadership team.
You'll be based in the vibrant town of Kingston-upon-Thames in light and spacious modern offices with a fully stocked kitchen / break out area and games room, showers, secure bike storage and lots going on in the local area with great places for lunch and a very short walk to the river.
*Strong software engineering background, core Java preferred
*Experience of leading high performance engineering teams, ability to motivate and inspire through example
*Varied technical experience stretching across Distributed Systems, Data Infrastructure, Client / Server architectures and Performance
*Excellent communication skills
*Likely to have a Computer Science degree
