Job Description

Platform Engineer (Kubernetes Linux DevOps Docker Swarm Mesos Microservices). Looking for a rare opportunity to develop your DevOps and Kubernetes skills within a hugely successful company? You could be taking on a vital role as this is a brand new position within the company, allowing you make your mark and strongly influence design and approach.

Leading quantitative research and technology company is seeking a Platform Engineer who can act as the company's Kubernetes / Container platform expert. You will own the design, build, monitoring and expansion of the platform to help deliver a fully featured and secure platform on which the company is able to deploy any type of application (including trading critical components). You will work closely with various development teams to help define standards, best practise and support migration and on-boarding of microservices onto the platform.

Based in central London, you will be joining a collaborative team, who promote a relaxed and positive work environment and enjoy regular social events, such as weekends away.

*Background in Linux DevOps (Redhat, Centos)
*Experience with Containerisation and Production deployment using Kubernetes, Swarm, Mesos or similar
*Configuration Management knowledge (Puppet, Ansible, Chef)
*Coding experience (Python, Groovy, Ruby, Bash)
*Excellent communication skills
*Likely to be degree educated in Computer Science or similar
*Desirable: AWS, Cloud, CI/CD, Tectonic, CoreOS
