Staff Engineer / Developer (Golang Accounting Software) Madrid / WFH to €120,000

Are you a senior, hands-on Software Engineer with experience of working on accounting / ledger software products?

You could be progressing your career in an impactful role at a successful and growing holiday rentals platform as they scale, with over 50,000 users and recent funding of over $350 million.

As a Staff Engineer you'll architect, design and develop a Greenfield financial system, taking ownership of building production grade financial infrastructure you'll design and implement the core backend services for a secure, scalable and auditable trust accounting subsystem with the highest quality standards.

Driving quality and reliability you'll raise the technical bar, mentoring, providing technical guidance and promoting best practice. You'll also collaborate with product, design, finance and legal teams to ensure delivery of a first class accounting platform.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the Madrid office once a week.

About you:

• You're a senior software engineer with experience at Staff or Principal level
• You have strong backend development experience, having used Golang most recently (any OO background fine e.g. Java)
• You have a strong knowledge of accounting / ledger software and processes
• You have experience across the full software development lifecycle, including testing and CI/CD into production
• You've built scalable backend services
• You lead by example and have a deep knowledge of modern software engineering best practices
• You have fluent English language skills
