Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Python FastAPI AI) Milan / WFH to €95,000

Are you a data centric backend focussed Software Engineering technologist?

You could be progressing your career at a "Tech for Good" start-up that is using AI models to help people focus on healthy living to extend their life, making personalised health risk assessments and connecting people with specialist clinicians.

As a Backend Software Engineer you will design and develop Python, FastAPIs, data pipelines and backend services that power the core AI platform. The work is interesting and complex, you'll engineer data pipelines that ingest and harmonise biometric, wearable and behavioural signals at scale and build and extend secure Fast API backend services including event-streaming endpoints.

You'll join a collaborative team of talented engineers and AI researchers, pushing the boundaries of what is currently possible to enhance people's lives.

Location / WFH:

You can work from home most of the time, meeting up with colleagues in the Milan office once a week.

About you:

• You have strong Python backend software engineering experience
• You are experienced with FastAPI development
• You have strong PostgreSQL database design skills
• You're comfortable with packing services in Docker and collaborating with the DevOps Lead
• You have a strong appreciation of security
• You have a good awareness of LLM, AI agent integration
• You're collaborative with fluent English language communication skills
