Data Engineer (SQL Python Spark) Bangkok to £90k

Are you a well educated Data Engineer with strong technical skills looking for a life changing opportunity?

You could be progressing your career at a scaling Tech Consultancy that has secure backing from a Hedge Fund partner as a Data Engineer in the Bangkok office on 12 month secondment (with the option to return to the UK or stay in Bangkok). You'll be fully supported with visa and relocation assistance.

As a Data Engineer you'll be responsible for the development, testing and maintenance of the data platform, ensuring the availability, reliability and integrity of data. You will interact and build relationships directly with the client's front office and technology teams to build out the data platform using in-house and vendor data tools.

Responsibilities will include analysis and implementation of data automation tasks and processes, creation of data pipelines from various data providers to populate the firm's data platform, curation of external and internal datasets to meet the front office's data needs, design and implementation of best-practice and pragmatic data design as well as developing and implementing data standards and quality rules.

Location:

You'll be relocated to Bangkok for a 12 month period (onsite fulltime); all expenses covered including visa sponsorship, accommodation and subsistence allowance.

About you:

• You have achieved a first class degree from a World Top 20 university
• You have experience in a Data Engineering role within a financial services or trading environment
• You have indepth SQL, Python and Apache Spark experience
• You have experience with Databricks and Azure
• You have advanced analysis and problem solving skills
• You have a desire to understand and solve business problems through data
• You're comfortable in a fast paced environment
• You have meticulous attention to detail
