Information Security Engineer / InfoSec (SIEM OWASP ISO 27001) Malta

Opportunity to progress your career at one of Malta's leading telecommunications providers in a senior, hands-on Information Security Engineer role.

As an Information Security Engineer you will join a small team with responsibility for all Information Security across the business, including cloud, networks, firewalls and anti-virus software. You'll design, implement and maintain security systems and protocols to ensure protection of the company's infrastructure, applications and data, conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability scans / penetration tests using a variety of tools (e.g. Nessus, Burp Suite, NMAP, Metasploit).

Collaborating with DevOps, IT and Compliance teams you'll ensure security is embedded into all aspects of the organisations infrastructure.

Location / WFH:

You'll join a collaborative, upbeat team based in Birkirkara, Malta three days a week with flexibility to work form home the other two days.

About you:

• You have experience in a similar Cyber Security / Information Security role
• You have a strong knowledge of Information Security across cloud and on-prem platforms on Linux, Windows and Kubernetes environments
• You have experience with SIEM, Firewalls, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), Endpoint Protection, and Network Security
• You have scripting / automation skills with Python or bash
• You have a good knowledge of OWASP security risks
• You have a good understanding of ISO 27001
• You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
• You are degree educated in a relevant discipline, i.e. Computer Science, Cyber Security
• You have fluent English language skills
• You're located in Malta with a valid work permit
