Lead SQL / BI Developer Malta

Do you have expertise with SQL combined with leadership skills?

You could be progressing your career at one of Malta's leading telecommunications providers.

As a Lead SQL BI Developer you'll head up a team of six, whilst remaining hands-on (50-80%), working with large data sets, building reports, dashboards and analytical solutions.

Day-to-day you'll be aggregating large data sets from heterogeneous sources into a data warehouse that is used extensively across the organisation; you'll create high quality datasets for use by Business Analysts, author reports for operational use, extend the data warehouse model with additional dimensions and facts, integrate new data sources and recommend improvements.

You'll be working within an Agile team, leading and participating in daily stand-ups and collaborating across the business and with management stakeholders.

Location / WFH:

You'll join a collaborative, upbeat team based in Birkirkara, Malta with flexibility to work from home 1-2 days a week.

About you:

• You have expertise with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server including SSMS
• You're also proficient with SSRS, SSIS, PowerBI, Excel
• You have experience of designing Data Warehouses and Data Lakes
• You have coaching, mentoring and project leadership skills
• You're collaborative with good English language communication skills
• Ideally you will have some public cloud experience (e.g. Azure)
