Senior Engineering Manager (B2C Web Mobile) London / WFH to £140k

You could be progressing your career in a senior, technical leadership role at a hugely successful health / wellness company.

As a Senior Engineering Manager you'll set the technical direction for digital products, platforms and integrations, ensuring systems are scalable, reusable and clearly owned. You'll establish modern engineering standards across the full SDLC, including CI/CD, automated testing, observability, API design, security and operational readiness, enabling teams to deliver quickly and safely.

You'll lead architecture and design reviews, make pragmatic technical decisions and drive continuous improvement in delivery speed, quality and reliability. With end-to-end accountability for engineering domains, you'll define service expectations, KPIs and reliability targets while ensuring operational excellence.

Collaborating with Product, Design, Data, AI and Operations, you'll translate business priorities into clear engineering roadmaps and guide stakeholders on feasibility and trade-offs, owning delivery outcomes, improve flow and predictability and embed measurement and feedback loops to support ongoing improvement.

You'll be a champion of innovation and responsible for AI adoption, improving developer productivity through better tooling and automation.

Just as importantly, you'll manage 5-6 Technical / Team Leads, developing talent, creating clear career pathways and fostering a culture of ownership, craftsmanship and continuous learning.

Location / WFH:

You'll be based in the London office three days a week with flexibility to work from home twice a week in a hybrid model.

About you:

• You have a strong, hands-on technical background with an indepth knowledge of modern software engineering practices across cloud first architectures, distributed systems, APIs, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and secure SDLC
• You have strong hands-on technical leadership skills, with experience of setting technical direction and challenging decisions constructively as well as building and scaling engineering teams across multiple geographical locations
• You have experience of delivery AI enable capabilities in production
• You have advanced stakeholder management skills, you're able to influence, create alignment and translate strategy into actionable outcomes
• You have strong business acumen, able to balance value, cost, risk and long term sustainability
