Senior Software Developer / Engineer (Scala Java Kotlin) Milan / WFH to €55,000

Opportunity to join a successful and growing Digital Wealth Management scale-up that offers a range of investment services to the public via their advanced technology platform which makes smart investing easier and accessible to all.

As a Senior Software Developer you'll join a cross functional Agile development team to design and develop new features on the platform as well as looking at ways to improve scalability. There are many technical challenges to tackle, you'll be working with Scala across the full development lifecycle, producing quality, well tested code.

As a senior member of the team you will own parts of the architecture, contribute to technical discussions and decision making, evaluate new technologies and approaches and will also help to mentor more junior team members.

Work From Home policy:

You can work from home most of the time but must be able to get to the office in Milan twice a week for team meetings.

About you:

• You have strong backend software development experience - including commercial Scala development experience, but you may have a Java or Kotlin background
• You have experience within a financial services type environment, with a good understanding of finance markets
• You have experience with REST APIs
• You're a keen technologist who loves to learn and pick up new skills
• You have good analysis and problem solving skills
• You have good English language skills; Italian is also if benefit but not necessary
